Baoding plan to promote energy-saving LED lights 25000 sets again in 2 years
From 2009 to the present, Baoding in the urban areas, scenic areas and public places were to promote energy-saving LED lights 25,000 (base). According to the plan, the next two years the city will invest 70 million yuan, and then to promote energy-saving LED lights 25,000 (base), to achieve annual savings of More Than 500 million maintenance cost.
According to Li, Secretary for Science and Technology Bureau of Baoding together with the introduction in 2009, the Ministry of Science decided in 21 cities, “city of ten thousand ten” pilot semiconductor lighting application engineering, Baoding, one of them. The project’s first responsibility as a unit, Baoding Technology Bureau has set up a demonstration project leading group, and actively provide for the city lights display platform, lighting experts on the technical parameters, design and acceptance, etc., to ensure project quality. Last year, the city’s high-tech zone as a pilot area to a total transformation of solar power LED lights 1456, LED solar garden lights, landscape lights, lawn a total of 462, 7 groups of traffic lights, so high-tech zones to achieve a full road sections position LED lighting.

Experts said that the nationwide phase-out of incandescent annual electricity savings of 10 billion U.S. dollars, “the equivalent of 30 provincial power generation in large power plants,” can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
